Which Girls’ Room Would You Choose?

Designing children’s spaces is always one of the most joyful parts of a project. It’s where imagination gets to lead the way. It’s where color, pattern, texture, and whimsy all have permission to play together.

For Project Longbridge, we developed two design directions for a shared girls’ bedroom. Both options embrace warmth, personality, and a layered approach to design while still feeling cohesive with the overall home.

Now we’re curious…

Which one would you choose?

Option 1 — Soft Whimsy

The first concept leans into gentle warmth and playful details. Think scalloped edges, blush tones, subtle waves, and a mix of soft patterns layered throughout the room.

Twin beds anchor the space with light wood and brass accents, while wallpaper and textiles introduce movement and charm. A delicate palette of blush, dusty rose, warm beige, and soft neutrals keeps the room feeling calm while still playful.

The furniture pieces are sweet but elevated—striped seating, a scalloped dresser, and warm brass lighting bring the room together in a way that feels both youthful and timeless.

The overall feeling?
Soft, storybook-inspired, and quietly magical.

Option 2 — Pattern Play

The second concept takes a slightly bolder approach, layering pattern and texture for a room full of personality.

Floral wallpaper creates a charming backdrop for twin beds dressed in vibrant bedding, while sculptural lighting and curved furniture introduce a more expressive design language. A mix of blush, warm neutrals, and cheerful tones keeps the room lively without feeling overwhelming.

The pieces feel collected and artistic—striped chairs, a playful vanity moment, and sculptural mirrors give the room a sense of individuality.

The overall feeling?
Eclectic, joyful, and full of character.

The Fun Part

Design is rarely about right or wrong—it’s about feeling.
