WE BELIEVE that functionality and aesthetics are most powerful when they exist in quiet harmony.
GRD designs homes that feel layered, thoughtful, and deeply livable. Each project begins with listening and understanding how our clients live, what they value, and how they want their homes to support everyday life. From there, we design collaboratively, working alongside trusted professionals to translate a shared vision into spaces that feel purposeful and personal. Our process is shaped by a curiosity that invites new ideas, materials, and creative approaches. This philosophy has earned the trust of clients throughout Northern California and recognition from publications including House Beautiful, Domino, HGTV, Sunset Magazine, The New York Times, and more.
PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
GINA GUTIERREZ
Gina Gutierrez’s path to design was anything but linear. She began her professional life in the fitness and wellness industry, opening a sports performance facility in San Francisco with two of her closest friends and immersing herself in the pursuit of optimal living. Design, however, was always her creative undercurrent. Whether reimagining her own home or helping friends shape theirs, she was instinctively drawn to beauty, flow, and the emotional impact of well-considered spaces. In 2012, she followed that pull, founding her design studio as a passion project.
Originally from Milwaukee, Gina moved to San Francisco in 2004 for graduate school and never looked back. In 2019, she relocated to Wine Country in search of more space to ground herself, deepen family roots, and make room for animals, gardens, and a slower rhythm of life. Travel remains one of her greatest sources of inspiration, with meaningful experiences in places like Italy, Japan, Mexico, and France continually shaping her perspective. Today, Gina lives in Sebastopol, California, with her spouse and their furry companions. Their shared love of home projects, gardening, long conversations, and planning the next adventure over a glass of wine reflects her belief that design isn’t confined to interiors—it’s our everyday.
